Description
- Biological safety cabinet type: CLASS I, in accordance with EN 12469.
- Designed to provide full protection for the operator and their surroundings while handling low- and/or moderate-risk microorganisms or biological products; product protection is not required.
- Work area and work surface constructed of AISI 304 stainless steel. Optional in AISI 316L.
- Air is filtered through a HEPA H14 absolute filter (99.995% efficiency at MPPS, EN 1822 standard)
- High-performance motor.
- Protective barrier in the work area with a velocity greater than 0.7 m/s.
- Sliding front glass panel with alarm position. It can be raised or lowered manually or electronically, so that the cabinet can be opened or closed in the event of a power failure or a user emergency.
- The safety opening window is 5 mm thick with UV protection and an anti-reflective coating.
- Microprocessor-controlled cabinet with updatable FLASH memory and external display for easy viewing of the cabinet’s control parameters (speeds, flow rates, plenum pressure, exhaust barriers, humidity, temperature, etc.), user-friendly touch panel with a security PASSWORD for controlling and powering on the unit.
- Alarms for detecting problems in the filtration system, the protective barrier, and door opening, via voice alerts and/or visual indicators on the screen.
- Exclusive white LED and UV lighting.
- Operating voltage 110-220 V, 50/60 Hz. Maximum current consumption 3 A (approx. 450 W).
- The interior of the booth includes a UV light; 2 IP 55-rated 110-220-volt electrical outlets for 1,000 W each (total 2,000 W).
Information and Control
PLC capable of recording laminar flow velocity data, barriers, and error alarms at the control level.
Work area equipped with an air velocity sensor, enabling real-time monitoring.
Automatic air velocity adjustment.
Independent control for gas solenoid valve.
Safety
Internal interlock function: UV lamp and front window; UV lamp and fan; white LED lamp; fan and front window.
The UV lamp will not operate while the window is raised.
Permissions for user roles on the unit: administrator, operator, or technician.
Configurable power-on password—prevents unauthorized personnel from operating the unit incorrectly.
Timer function: automatically sets the start and shutdown times for the chamber and the operating time for the UV lamp, fans, and outlets, reducing the unit’s startup time.
Shutdown memory function: after power-up, the unit returns to the state it was in before shutdown. This is indicated by a visual alarm.
Easy operation
v7-inch color touchscreen display, showing the cabinet parameters in real time, in a clearer and more dynamic way.
vAudible and color-coded indicators that intuitively and quickly improve the user’s experience and interpretation of data and alarms.
vNew feature to connect and integrate gas valves with their solenoid valves from the control panel, if these accessories are available.
vProgramming of daily decontamination via ultraviolet irradiation, with defined start and end times.
vThe system has been designed to track the number of hours of use and the estimated remaining lifespan from the factory, to provide this information to the user.
Maintenance / Cleaning
Monitoring and adjustment of filter clogging to minimize replacement costs.
Front filter replacement to avoid disconnecting the cabinet from its ducts.
Plenum system—quick-release design—allows a single technician to replace the filters. Consequently, this reduces unit downtime due to corrective maintenance by 50%.
One-piece work area (walls) with rounded corners to prevent particle buildup, making cleaning easier.
The integrated design of the operating area facilitates disassembly and cleaning.
The Privilege series features the optional High End configuration, which allows for full opening of the work area with an additional 750 mm of height, facilitating cleaning and access for large equipment.
Ergonomics
Lighting control system: allows the user to adjust the intensity of the white light to suit their work, reaching a brightness of over 1,000 lux. Optionally, UGR <16 (Unified Glare Rating) LED lighting can be installed instead, providing lighting comfort during use of the equipment, preventing glare that causes eye strain, and creating a visually pleasant experience.
Ergonomically tested, thanks to a noise level that is lower than the 65 dBA required by regulations.
Stainless steel armrests integrated into the cabin and removable from it.
The cabin is separate from the table; optional configurations include:
- Standard Support Table—with lockable casters that allow for all working positions.
- Height-Adjustable Electric Support Table: the working height can be adjusted and customized according to the equipment’s dimensions.
